If you can only fish 1 I would fish Outdoor Heritage ! It has some real good west cost guys running it. They know what we all want in a TX and are trying to give it to us. We all should fish it to show our support.

I'm on the fence as well. In putting my tourney budget/schedule together there are some decent choices.. Outdoor Heritage, Won Pro/Ams , US Open, etc. Its hard to do all of them especially with overlapping dates, sponsor commitments, and the overall costs associated with fishing them.

Outdoor Heritage all the way guys!! It's been designed for us western guys from the schedule all the way down to the the payback and end of year events! Try and support our western root first then put something into the others(WON Bass is my number two for 2013). Lets drive up the payback and support the Outdoor Heritage Inc tournaments!

I have been fishing the Pro-am circuits in the west for along time. I have fished everything from Bassmasters to WON. Last year I fished Everstart and had a good season. I qualified for the Championship and the FLW Tour after finishing in 8th overall. Problem is, the Championship is 35hr dr from Galt ca and the Tour is all scheduled so far away from the west that it is finacially impossible for me to do it unless I move to that part of the country. So what did I gain from the good year that I had?
This is why I am choosing to fish with OH this year. With the same result next year I would be fishing the following year with no entry fees. They have a solid plan to grow in the West and the people involved understand what the Western guys need to continue fishing. I am hoping the circuit will grow and eventually we will see a Championship and a solid Angler of the Year package. I am going to give it the three years and I am hoping more Anglers like you that are on the fence will too!

For the Pro-Ams, the 20% that receive free entries the following year, is that based on 20% for each the north and south region or 10% from the north and 10% from the south? Is it based on all 8 tournaments for the North and South region forcing an angler to fish both regions in order to receive free entry the following year?

I'm really excited to get this thing off the ground. I have hopes of this organization growing into a true Western Tour! There are so many anglers in the West that NEED this. I hope we get the participation and keep the dream alive for the young guys coming up and the guys that have been in the game a long time that have never been provided an opportunity to fish a full on Western Tour! If the participation is there and year 4 becomes a reality, based on OHI's plan, never again will an angler be told he HAS to go East to be somebody in the sport. This is HUGE for not only the West but the continued growth and development of the sport. Western anglers have the chance to change the face of the industry! We're known for that already aren't we? Let's get come together and support something that wants to support us!
