Sealing a wooden swimbait with three joints...?

Post by LV Ba$$ »

A real favorite three jointed wooden swimbait of mine from a popular Japanese manufacturer is flaking paint off at the joints where it clacks....I need a solution quick to stop the flaking from spreading...please & thank you. Oh it's needs to be Lowes or Homedepot accessible no hobby shops or the like. Got 3 days till I need to fish it!

Lets hear what solutions you guys have found. I know I'm not the only one !

Short term try Sallie Hansen's Hard as Nails clear nail polish. Let it cure overnight.

Or use Devcon 2-ton Home clear epoxy, which is waterproof.

Devon is what many lure makers use. I use it for a multitude of fishing relaed repairs. Clear not yellow and waterproof
