07 Triton 20 x2 with 250 prop pitch?

I have an 07 Triton 20 X2 with Merc Pro XS 250
I got a new motor and they put a 27p Fury on it.
I rarely tach over 5300 I know the rev limiter is @6000
Was wondering if anybody else had this boat and what they run & speed they get.

The 27 Fury is way too much prop for that boat and set-up and that is why you aren't getting the RPM's. The Fury typically runs one size bigger than the Tempest. Your boat has a manual plate so adjustment is not all that easy. I would tend to think that you could run a 25 or 26 Tempest on this boat and get the performance you want. I think I ran a 25 on it. It is ok to run right on the edge of the rev limitor with a light load and one guy this will let the boat perform better with a load.
