U.S. Angler’s Choice will be gracing the waters of Lake Owyhee for our second event of the season on Saturday, June 22nd, 2013. We will be holding our sign-ups. launch, and weigh-in out of the Indian Creek Campgrounds. With this event just around the corner, I wanted to give you all an update as to the pertinent details of this event.

Where: Lake Owyhee – Indian Creek Campground

When: Saturday June 22nd, 2013

Entry Fee**: $175 per team (a $10 mandatory permit fee will also apply for this lake) Remember, you will also need to possess an Oregon fishing license to be legal for this event. An entry form is attached to this e-mail along with your liability releases for the event.

**We do have the option open to pay for the tournament and options in advance with a credit card. If you are interested in doing this, please get in contact with me prior to Wednesday, June 12th. Credit Card entry fees will be charged a 3% processing fee. After this point in time, all entries will be taken CASH ONLY on site so that we may pay back cash only on site. Memberships may be paid on site with a Credit Card.

Payback: 1 in every 5 places with plaques to the top three teams and Big Bass. Paybacks are posted at the check in so you will know what the payback will be prior to even hitting the water. No smoke and mirrors here – our books are open to everyone.

Top Three Option ($20 per team)

Winner of the Top 3 Option will receive 2 cases of RockStar Energy Drink.

Membership: To participate in USAC sanctioned events, anglers will be required to have a boat which meets the safety requirements show in our USAC Region #1 Trail rules. You will also need to be an active member of U.S. Angler’s Choice ($45 per year & includes magazine subscription to Bass West USA Magazine - memberships run for a full 365 day year from time you sign up). You will also be required to sign a liability release at each tournament

Check In: I will be on hand on Friday Evening at 5PM at the Indian Creek Campground to take early sign-ups for those who may be camping overnight. Check in for the event will take place starting at 4:00AM on Saturday morning. A brief pre-event meeting will take place prior to Blast off.

All boats will be assigned a number and the starting order will be determined by a random draw.

Blast Off: 6:15 AM For safety, all boats must have their running lights in and working or they will be held to the end of the start. The Colors will be flown and the National Anthem played. Boats will then be launched in order of the numbers they have been assigned.

Weigh-In: 4:00 PM All returning boats will check in with the start boat prior to their check in time. Late boats will be disqualified.

Weigh in will be held (depending upon wind direction) in the Indian Creek Campgrounds. Weigh in will be a drive up weigh in with anglers putting their boats on the trailer and driving around to the weigh in site.

Release of Fish – Due to the lack of a live release boat for this event, certain boats will be assigned the task of releasing the fish at least one mile from the weigh in location as designated in the ODFW permit.

Awards: My goal is to have our awards ceremony rocking and rolling within 15 minutes after the close of the scales so that you can get on the road home after your day on the water. Awards will take place at the weigh in location.
