My forth one was "Other" Ken.

For Me, it is a chance to be able to put the things I learn in interviews to the test and have a perspective for communicating them.

Knowing how things work in application makes me a better writer / communicator.

Sorry Ken, I missed this post.

Kinda cool that competition and entertainment/fun factor is leading the poll. Guys like to fish and compete...just wish numbers were higher in events.

Gary, I think it's mainly the cost to fish that's affecting the numbers. Entry fees, fuel, motel, food, etc. I would think the best way now for most is the local club tourneys. Less travel and lower entry fees. JMHO

It is straight up the competision for me. I love to compete at what ever i do, from ping pong to racing. Since I cant race any more, I fish. I like to push my self to see what I can acomplish. Its alot harder know that I fish from my wheelchair but thats part of the reward for me. Theres nothing better than beating all you walkers :D

I love the competition and spending time on the water with my old man. We even compete with each other in our derbies. IN all that I do I like to compete and try to be the best. obviously I need to win some cash to sustain my fishing but competition is the reason.
