The Alameda Sheriffs Association puts on a fund raiser tournament every year for sports for young men and women.
This is a tournament that requires at least one member to be a Peace Officer, Firefighter, Public Safety Member or Active Military.
This years tournament is on September 7th. Currently they have 3 boats pre signed. This is a great fund raiser and helps a lot of kids, if you intend to fish it could you please call Scott Delbridge At 925-784-0847 and pre register.
They have free BBQ and tons of raffles.
The other option will be opening it up to all anglers? Your constructive comments are welcome.

Retired people are not allowed to fish?

Anyone who has been in the emergency field can fish, retired or not. I would just like it to be at least one person in the boat is or has been been in the emergency field. Retired military are more than welcome.

I haven't fished this in a few years. They use to pull a lot of boats. It had always been run very well with a very good BBQ and raffle afterwards. Have the numbers dropped? I'm thinking about going this year, but have to travel a bit of a distance. Sure would hate to go all that way if it's not being supported by the locals.
