STOLEN BOAT

A FRIEND CALLED ME YESTERDAY,HE GOT UP EARLY TO GO TO BERRYESSA AND HIS BOAT WAS STOLEN FROM HIS DRIVEWAY.
KEEP A LOOKOUT FOR A 2001 16 FT TRACKER V 16 GREEN WITH A 60 HP MERC 4 STROKE ON IT
STOLEN FROM FAIRFIELD
ALL OF HIS GEAR WAS IN THE BOAT AND HE IS MAKING A LIST OF RODS-REELS THAT WERE TAKEN

Just out of curiosity. Are boats getting stolen even with a trailer hitch lock on them?

they cut two locks,pin lock included

They found the boat but did not catch the guys. they had just started to strip it

someone saw them and called the police they had the outboard loose and every wire and cable cut
they did not take take any of his gear!!!

Glad he got it back! The gear would defiantly be the hardest thing to replace if my boat got jacked.

That's great! Nothing sucks worse than having your tools, in this case fishing tools, stolen.

I was told by a good source that they are targeting boats with outboards that are parked in driveways or on the street.

with all the pre-fishing for TOCs, FLW and events up there, guys need to pay close attention and keep watch on their stuff as well as don't over look any suspecious folks hangin round yer bretherens boats! We're easy targets when we flock in numbers up there. Thanks fer the heads up!

I"ve been told that two of the boat thieves have been arrested.
