Try Tacklewarehouse. They sell Lucas oil, which meets the factory specs for Mercury and, if you buy over $50 (two gallons) the shipping is free.

take you own container to a merc dealer and fill it bulk. price is lots cheaper. merc is charging dealers about 10.00 just for for the container plus price of oil if you buy pre packaged.
run the dfi if you have an opti. dont run premium plus. they are starting to see issues in the opti for those running premium plus. merc even has put out a service bulletin about it.

As mentioned check with your local Merc dealer for being able to fill your own container. It ends up being much cheaper.
I have over 400 hours on my 250 Pro xs with premium plus without issue. I have no plan on changing oils now. I do run sea foam and marine stabile also.

Walmart. quicksilver dfi oil $19.99/Gal
Re: Merc DFI oil.... how much$......?...
Well maybe , at that price $19.99 it would have to be miss priced, the dealer I buy from lists at $42 per gallon and sells to me for $32 thats Merc opti dfi. I agree Quicksilver is lesser priced and can be just as good, i like the fact that Lucas is suporting the fishing industry they make fine products.
the best way to catch a big one is don't lose um sharp hooks set drag retie!
Re: Merc DFI oil.... how much$......?...
I am on my 3rd Pro XS motor", my first 2 motors, I ran Premium plus, my current motor, I run Opti/DFI ,I have noticed that with the DFI oil" there is no carbon build up inside my prop hub , I always had to add "Quick Clean" to my first 2 motors! To get rid of the carbon build up!..
