The 1st event of the USAC Sac Valley Team 2014 season was hosted out of Markley cove Lake Berryessa. Reports noted that fishing was slow but if you got bit then they were the right ones.
First Place went to the team of Greg McCosker and Mark Crutcher. They threw A-rig and crank bait all day for a five fish limit of largemouth bass with 28.73 pounds. Their largest bass weighed 7.88 pounds. They took home $1,585.00 in winnings and First Place Big Fish plaques for the efforts. Congratulations guys!

Second Place went to the team of Jeremy Zipton and Brad Ford. They came to the scales with a limit weighing 20.86 pounds and a 5.75 pound kicker. Most of their fish were caught cranking and senko. Their $765.00 in winnings included 2nd Big Fish of the tournament and two Second Place trophies.

Third Place went to the team of Ron Tobey and Mike Tobey. They weighed in a 5 fish limit of weighing 20.43 pounds and a check for $595.00 and two nice plaques. They also use crank bait most of their fish.

Question for the guys that caught fish? I was there just trying out a boat and got no bites what crankbaits were succesfully used and approx what depth were the fish hanging out?

Top 3 caught all their fish on reaction a-rig and medium to deep diving crank bait. 1st place caught 7
fish and they are the right ones they used A-RIG on most of their fish.
