I brought up this research 5 years ago to the Casistas board- you can even kill the bacteria and they still kill quaggas. However, introduction of any bacterium into drinking water sources in sensitive California isn't likely! At least there is research into killing quaggas that is ongoing- that's good news.

As long as elected officials, or people who serve under them, make the decisions it will be whatever gets them campaign contributions, not what's best for the people.

JB,
You can tease me all you want to. Consider it a pay-it-forward birthday present for next year.
Democrats and Republicans politicians are two cheeks on the same a$$...they both spend all their time sucking up to their big donors to get money for reelection, instead of doing what they are elected for, which is to govern.
Seriously, I wish the people who actually knew something about water infrastructure and water needs set the State's water policy, not a bunch of "what am I running for next" politicians.
Arnold was right. We need dams and reservoirs. Think how many jobs those projects would create!

+1000.... on the dams and resivoirs, from north to south there are a lot of areas that would be suitable.
More dams, more resivoirs, more water storage, more jobs, more recreational revenue, I see nothing but positives here.

That makes too much sense!
But then they'd have to test, clean, and treat the water so it fit for human use, and all the businesses that dump crap into the storm drains would be held accountable. I don't see that happening any time soon.
