Trinity Lake Help?

Post by Matt M. »

Anyone want to help a SoCal guy out?

Heading up to Trinity this weekend for the first time, and I will be fishing Friday/Sat out of a rental. Can anyone offer up some tips on loaction/baits/colors. General info is fine, as I'm not looking for everyones secrets.

Thanks for any help.

From what we've been hearing, super spooks in the morning's and evening's on main & secondary point's as well as steep structure. In the middle of the day they have been catching them down to around 35' dragging hooktail grubs on darthead's and tube's and meter fishing with dropshot rig's.

Please let us know how it goes. I've also never been and was planning a trip up there in a couple weeks. Are you camping on the shore, renting a houseboat, or staying in a cabin?

I'll be in a cabin. I'll let you know how we do man. Taking the arsenal, from 3" shad worms to slide swimmer 250's.
