Any word on DVL?

Post by Dynastyworms »

Anyone hear anything about DVL and if the recent rain had any effect?

Drove out there a week ago to take a look at ramp.It was extended and is not far from waters edge.I estimate that a 10-15' rise in depth would make it usable. This lake gets no real benefit from rainfall. The water is pumped in.The Sierra snowpack is above normal so maybe the lake will get some water this year if that continues.

From what I was told (rumor), the lake is hoping to open in March. That would be a huge relief to many of us. I never thought that I would say it but I really miss that lake. At least I knew where to go to catch a couple in the winter months.

I heard today Casitas is closed to outside boats because of water level. Some lakes in central and northern are up 20' or more.

Unfortunetely the rain hasn't made any changes to our current elevation.
