Oroville Dam spillway reconstruction expected to end before rainy season

The Department of Water Resources said it's on track to a have a fully functional primary spillway by its self-imposed Nov. 1 – just before the rainy season begins. The rebuilt spillway will be capable of handling water releases of 100,000 cubic feet per second. Additionally, crews working on the emergency spillway are focused on the reconstruction of a cut-off wall. That is scheduled to be finished by January.
