GRANITE BAY, Ca – It is without a doubt that Folsom Lake is one of the golden state’s most prolific bass fisheries.
And though it hosts fantastic numbers of all species of black bass, the population of bass anglers within the greater Sacramento region and beyond, seem to be under served by the lack of fun and competitive tournaments that could be held on its 75 miles of accessible shoreline.
But that's going to change in the late spring as Angler’s Press Outdoors will host the first annual Bass Pro Shops Open on May 13-15th on beautiful Folsom Lake!
This BPS event is open to all anglers and will bring with it a ton of fun for those of every skill level. The field for this event will be capped at only 100 teams, with a LOW cost entry and a 100% cash payback to the top 20 teams!
To add to the drama, on the final day, 90% of the field will be eliminated and only 10 teams will remain and will be part of a “Super Ten” drive-by weigh-in front of the Bass Pro Shops store!
Along with some great early summer weather, at the final day weigh-in, there will be something for everyone to enjoy as Angler’s Press Outdoors will host a BIG outdoor expo in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot from 10am – 3pm, featuring BBQ hosted by Duck’s Unlimited, boat and recreational vehicle displays, tons of manufactures product displays, product purchase specials, and giveaways, PLUS a FREE fishing pond for Kids 12 and under - and kids will be entered into a free raffle for rods and reels, and fishing tackle!
In addition, beginning at 3pm on the final day - between each boat that comes accross the stage during weigh-in, there will be a HUGE FREE raffle for all spectators in attendance!
