Get out there and permit fish and if you catch a tagged permit, be sure to take a close up photo of the tag, a photo of the tag in the fish, and report the tag data back to us.

Collect Five or More Genetics Samples and Receive a Free BTT Sun Mask

The extent that bonefish and tarpon result from local vs distant spawning locations is an issue of major conservation concern. Is local conservation enough, or do we also need to act on a larger scale? To find these answers, BTT has launched the Bonefish and Tarpon Genetics Program, sponsored by Yeti Coolers.
We are asking anglers who fish for bonefish and tarpon to collect tissue samples from the fish they catch (a scale for tarpon, a fin clip for bonefish), and then submit the samples to us for genetic analysis. The data will provide invaluable information to help us guide management strategies. But, these multi-year programs will only be successful if anglers and guides participate.
