Each year at ICAST, companies release new products and showcase their work during the past year. For lure companies like Yo-Zuri, that means new lures, additional colors, and more. Yo-Zuri added those but also unveiled a new fluorocarbon line.
Here’s what is new with Yo-Zuri for the 2022 season.
Rattl’n Vibe One Knock
The Rattl’n Vibe is one of Yo-Zuri’s best-known lures. It is a lipless crankbait with an excellent sound, action, and many professional bass anglers, no matter what lure company they are sponsored by, use it all of the time. It is a proven fish-catching bait and this year is a new version with a different sound.
The One Knock is the next generation of the Rattl’n Vibe series and, as it sounds, includes just one knocking rattle. The sound is a deeper sound with just one rattle making the noise and gives the fish a different sound and helps catch fish that are conditioned to the same sounds from other lipless crankbaits.
The Rattl’n Vibe One Knock is available in the best-selling size, a 65mm (2 ½” size) that weighs 17 grams or 5/8oz. It will be available in 13 of Yo-Zuri’s most popular colors, including holographic colors as well as matte finishes.
This bait can be fished effectively with a cast and retrieve, but it also excels with a ‘yo-yo’ retrieve and easily rips through the grass. Another key is that it can be fished with a super-fast retrieve and will not kick out, even when burned at extreme speeds.
It includes super-sharp #4 black nickel treble hooks. It will be available in the following colors: Black Silver, Blue Chrome, Brown Gold, Ghost Bluegill, Green Silver, Matte Crawfish, Metallic Bleeding Shad, Citrus Shad, Matte Rayburn Red Crawfish, Royal Purple Shad, Sexy Shad, Golden Shiner, and Ghost Pearl Shad.
T7 Fluorocarbon Line
Yo-Zuri has been producing line for years, but the new T7 fluorocarbon is what they say is their best ever. It is the strongest bass fishing line that they make and created from carefully chosen materials that give it the perfect blend of tensile strength, abrasion resistance and shock absorption. It is also naturally translucent, provides excellent casting distance, and has the suppleness to be manageable on your reels.
While a new line, several of the Yo-Zuri Pro Staff anglers have been using it for over a year with excellent results.
“T-7 became my all-time favorite line the first time I spooled it up! Low memory, low stretch, great knot strength and abrasion resistance. I couldn’t ask for a better line to help me pay my bills,” said Bassmaster Elite Series pro, Clent Davis.
It is available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, and 25-pound tests and on 200-yard spools. Prices range from $17.99 to $29.99, depending on the pound test.
New Colors for the 3DB Jerkbait 110 and 3DB Jerkbait 110 Deep
The Yo-Zuri 3DB Jerkbait in both the 110 standard and 110 Deep have become popular jerkbaits since Yo-Zuri first introduced them. They cast very well thanks to the weight transfer system and have a flat-sided body that gives it a great action and excellent flash.
They already have plenty of great colors but just added four more. The new colors are Bold Table Rock Shad, Natural Perch, Prism Clown, and Prism Gold Black. These new colors were designed to cover all water clarities from stained, tannic, and muddy to crystal clear conditions. Both baits are 4 3/8” and weigh ½-ounce and retail for $9.99.
More 3DB Real Color Additions
The 3DB Series includes a bunch of favorites from Yo-Zuri, including topwaters, jerkbaits, shad-profile crankbaits, and squarebills and medium runners. Each has some new colors that feature incredibly realistic patterns to match forage. They were designed for clear water situations and have an internal paint and prism for more flash and to make sure the color never fades, chips, or wears off.
The topwater lineup includes the 3DB Popper, Prop, Pencil, and Pencil Popper. The new colors are Real Blue Back Herring, Real Golden Shiner, Real Bluegill, and Real Gizzard Shad.
The 3DB Jerkbait added Real Blue Back Herring, Real Glass Minnow, Real Gizzard Shad, Real Perch, Real Rainbow Trout, and Real Smelt.
New for the 3DB Shad is Real Gizzard Shad, Real Perch, Real Rainbow Trout, and Real Smelt. The 3DB Squarebill and Crank MR added Real Baby Bass, Real Brown Crawfish, Real Bluegill, Real Green Crawfish, Real Gizzard Shad, and Real Perch.
One final addition is a new color for the 3DB Pencil in both the 100 and 125mm. The new color is a solid black color that will be an excellent choice for overcast conditions when fishing for smallmouth and for those anglers who like to night fish.
