DAIWA supports annual National Championship Musky Open – limited number of reels available for sale

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA– What happens when more than 1000 anglers descend on Eagle River, Wisc. the third weekend of August each year, nearly doubling the size of town’s population? It’s all about musky fishing for three days, and it’s all about supporting the statewide musky stocking efforts of the Musky Clubs Alliance of Wisconsin through the 39th Annual National Championship Musky Open on Aug. 14-17.

DAIWA will again have a crew onsite at the Vilas County Fairgrounds for all the evening activities, giving anglers the opportunity to check out the latest PROREX musky-size reels and the expanding lineup of PROREX rods, including DAIWA’s premium level PROREX Stein series.

New DAIWA LEXA HD 500

While the focus of the weekend is all about musky fishing and celebrating and supporting the sport, “we know that many of participating anglers have other fishing interests, so we’ll also be showcasing the ICAST award-winning Ballistic MQ LT spinning reels and TATULA cork handle bass rods, along with the new PROREX spinning reels at the DAIWA booth,” said Brad Olson who handles DAIWA’s sales efforts with tackle shops throughout Wisconsin.

“We’ll have a large assortment of rods, reels, lures (including new colors now offered for DAIWA’s BESSIE musky baits), braided line, and other gear for both musky and other Wisconsin ‘Northwoods’ fishing action on display. Plus, DAIWA contributes a good number of PROREX rods and reels, J-Braid, D-Box lure cases, and other fishing accessories to the Musky Alliance’s nightly raffles. And as what you would expect at a fishing event in Wisconsin, the evening activities include brats, burgers and sweet corn on the grill, all taking place at the Vilas County Fairgrounds in Eagle River.”

There will be a limited number of DAIWA PROREX and LEXA reels available for sale during evening activities at the Vilas County Fairgrounds. Any purchase of a DAIWA musky reel will also receive a free spool-up of J-Braid (from available stock) at the DAIWA booth.
