Schooling Bass, Toss a Wiggle Wog

As we get into late summer, bass on many bodies of water begin their annual feeding binge as fall is just around the corner. Sometimes these schooling bass are located in sparse vegetation or may not want to come up and hit a topwater plug or frog, in both situations a Snag Proof Wiggle Wog is great bait choice.

Two helpful tips to capitalize on this situation are:

  1. Use a bait color that mimics what the bass are eating, if its shad use a white color Wiggle Wog, compared to a brown/yellow one if they are feeding on bluegill.
  2. Make long casts so you don’t spook the actively feeding bass, so make sure you are using a line that allows you to do this. For me this will either be 15 lb Seaguar TATSU Fluorocarbon or 40 lb Smackdown Braid
