Scottsboro, Ala. - In a time when college, high school and youth fishing events are growing rapidly, Scottsboro, Ala. custom fishing rod manufacturer TigeRodz has signed on to become the official rod brand for the Auburn University Fishing Team.
Auburn University has become known as one of the premier college fishing programs in the country, with two former members currently competing on the Bassmaster Elite Series. TigeRodz will be the official rod for the team as they compete in college events across the country.
Scott Dobbins, president of TigeRodz is an Auburn alum, and he said the pairing was a natural progression. "I have a lot of pride being an alumnus of Auburn, said Dobbins. "Being a lifetime angler who has ties to the University really made the decision to help these young men an easy one."
Another reason that Dobbins wanted to support his Alma Mater was because there are several new additions to the team that he has already supported in the past. "There are two or three new anglers at Auburn that fished on high school teams that we supported with TigeRodz," Dobbins said. "To have that continuity, as well as the belief in and of their coach, really makes for a strong partnership that we are proud to be a part of."
Darrel High, AU Fishing Team Coach said he knows that the TigeRodz partnership will be a big help in 2016. "This sponsorship will help the Auburn University fishing team continue to compete at the highest level. The TigeRodz product line is of the utmost quality and gives our team the confidence to know they are using the best," said High. "Our team is preparing for a very busy 2016, with team's already qualified for championships and a busy season; TigeRodz will help make sure we perform at peak levels."
