Top-3 Bass Boat Insurance Questions ANSWERED!

“Ben’s Top 3 Boat Insurance Tips!”

Hello Friends of Westernbass.com! First off, I would like to thank all of you who have contacted me for a boat quote in 2017. Over 250 of you have called. You are providing me the opportunity to have a successful small business and pursue my fishing prowess. I am grateful to call you friends. Here is an update on Ben Green Insurance Agency:

-2017 Official Sponsor of Wild West Bass Trail. $150 in contingency money given out in each California event to our Insured that places highest. One angler has won $350 at the time of this post!

-International Federation of Black Bass Anglers Official Sponsor.

-Dan’s Delta Tournament Series Official Sponsor.

-National Bass West Official Sponsor.

-Ultimate Bass Radio Guest and Show Sponsor.

-Westernbass.com Sponsor and Contributor.

Here are the top 3 most common issues I have seen while discussing bass boat insurance:

Actual Cash Value vs. Stated Value

If you have a policy that has “ACV” written on the declaration, be prepared to fight the depreciation battle in a total loss. You want Stated Value, or the limits on the declaration page.

Top Speed on the Application

Most applications that I see from agents that are not familiar with Bass Boats show a top speed of 55 M.P.H. This is because the program they are selling most likely limits top speed and the agent does not know what a 250 on a 20 footer is capable of. At claim time the carrier can refuse coverage if the application misrepresents the risk.

Contents Coverage

Does this cover Rods, Reels and Tackle? If it does, make sure it says it in the policy. Do not rely on an agent to tell you it does when it is not stated in the contract.

Please keep me in mind for all things insurance! Home, Auto, RV, Boat, Life, Business, Work Comp, Liability.

I’ve got Lanyards and Clippers! See you out on the water! – Ben
