1996 Skeeter ZX200 w/ Mercury Mariner 200 EFI SOLD!

Post by jbane9 »

I am the second owner of this 1996 Skeeter ZX200, powered by a Mercury Mariner 200 EFI. It has been a great boat. It has a ton of storage and handles really well on the water. I have all maintenance records for the past 4 years that I have owned the boat. I am only selling it because I am buying a brand new ranger. I have done a lot of upgrades recently. Some of these are:

Minn kota fortrex 80 (1 year old)
3 big optima blue top batteries (1 year old)
Minn kota 2 bank digital charger (1 year old)
As well as new bps trickle charger for cranking battery
Sea Star hydraulic steering (installed new 2 years ago)
Humminbird 998c sonar/gps with down and side imaging at console
Humminbird 788ci sonar/gps with puck transducer at bow
Lock R Bar
New trailer tires all around (4)
New LED trailer lights
Spare 4 blade prop

This boat was very well taken care of and always serviced at least annually by Nelson's Outboard. It is a great boat. Everything on it works except for the stock speedometer, but you have GPS speed at the console so it is not needed. $8,500 Please call me, James, with any questions at: 408-966-3443 It is located in Campbell, CA

Yes there are 2 large rod lockers. One on port side and one on starboard. They will each hold up to 8' rods. There are 2 large compartments in between that I use for tackle and life jackets, etc. The compression is really good across all cylinders, I can get you the exact number from last service this evening. The only issue I ever had with the motor was the voltage regulator went out, and I had both of them replaced by Nelson's Outboard. It is a great boat and very dependable motor.

Compression across all cylinders at last service: 123, 125, 124, 119, 120, 120. This service was about a year ago but the boat has been used less than 10 times since then.

Boat also has a 10" manual jackplate and very nice "sharkskin" custom trailerable cover.

The engine is a 1995 model that was sold in 1996. I'm not sure on the hours, but it is still running very strong. I have taken very good care of it, and wasn't able to use it as much as I wanted to so I didn't put a whole lot of hours on it.
