The Arizona Game and Fish Department is conducting a dive study at Lake Havasu, evaluating how effective various types of structure are at attracting fish. The photo at left was taken at Partners Point on April 28, 2022. The photo at right is a picture of a concrete reefball deployed at Partner's Point in fall 2019.
Natural and artificial habitat are critical for fish spawning, growth and survival of young fish. The artificial structures provide a surface for microscopic animals to grow, which attracts bait fish and in turn the predatory fish for anglers to target.
