ABA Delta Results from 4/3/10

First off I would like to thank The Hook and Russo's for sponsoring the awards for this and all of my events. I would aloso like to thank Ranger Boats, D&M custom Baits and Yamamoto. I would also like to thank Black Dog baits for awarding a pair of punkers to the team that weighs in the big fish of the tournament. For this tournament the winner of big fish was none other than our beloved Cooch for his 7.16 pounder he walked away with $1128.00 and a pair of injected punkers.

Official results with all payouts will be posted on the American Bass website in the next few days.

I would also like to thank Tunaman (Roger Nelson)for taking pictures for me, and Mike Watson and Chris Smith for doing my boat check.

Both Rick and I are humbled by the talent we were able to surpass. You know the old adage......even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. This was Ricks first ever win........so Congratulations to Rick.
By the way speaking of congratulations, you guys at the ABA work hard and it shows by how smooth everything runs. If you guys haven't seen this operation then roll on down to Russo's on May 1st an check them out. an dude the new scale is enough to give a guy a heart attack the way it goes up and down an settles. Very cool. Cudos to the new scale. It has become mine an Ricks new friend.

Excellent job down there yesterday Rodger! You and yer crew do an excellent job running events here! Congrats to RickD and Ed Ackerman on their victory!

I'm not gonna speak at all towards what I did in catching that big fish, simpley because I believe it is of a far greater importance to bring up the issue Bobby Barrack spoke intamately to all of us about prior to the awards.

Specifically that is the new Senate Bill 2336 being introduced by our favorite shat head Senator Fuller. I think it only prudent we put out a call to Bobby and have him come in here and explain to us exactly what we're up against as he is undoubtably closer to the facts and info on what this new Senate bill means to us bass fisherman here on the Delta, and what directions we can take to help.
