ABA & LUCAS OIL ... THE HUGE NEWS WE PROMISED!

Post by 1socalbass »

Greetings from American Bass!

We are all very excited to announce the huge news we promised you!
The Lucas Oil Summer Classic is going national with the biggest television deal a west coast bass tournament has ever had!

3 MAJOR NETWORKS ARE GOING TO BROADCAST THIS GREAT EVENT!

NBC SPORTS
(formerly versus network)
PURSUIT
MAVTV
In addition to these big networks, the event will also aire on AMERICANA OUTDOORS

In total, this event will be available in OVER 140 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS, which means HUGE national exposure for the anglers fishing this event! If you have sponsors, you want sponsors, or you simply want the exciting exposure that national TV coverage provides, you can’t miss this event!
Another detail is the extensive programming. This will NOT be a onetime 30-minute show. We will be announcing the incredible coverage very soon. This will be the best ever for any Western Tournament!
This tournament is limited to only 100 spots in the Pro and 100 spots in the Co-Angler Divisions. There are still spots open but once we hit the 100 number, the tournament is full. We will form a waiting list over the 100 number. Remember, this event also features the biggest CASH paybacks for a 100 boat limit event ever offered in the West.

SPECIAL BIG FISH OPTION!
Another exciting feature of this event is the $100 Big Fish option. This option will award the angler that wins the overall big fish in the option a new Ranger/Mercury bass boat package! One cast will be made by a Pro-Angler or Co-Angler, that is entered in the Big Fish option, that will result in winning the Ranger/Mercury Boat package! Every cast counts, right up to the end for everyone in the option! This Big Fish Option will also award $1,000 Cash daily to the Option Winner!

ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT POINT!
All anglers that enter this event will receive priority registration for future Lucas Oil/American Bass events! There are more events in the works, don’t miss out!
All it takes is a $200 deposit for Pro’s and $100 for Co-Anglers.

To secure your spot, you need to enter with a $200 non-refundable deposit for Pro and $100 for the Co-Angler. All entries with both a Pro and Co-Angler, registering together, will be guaranteed a spot. Any individual entries in either the Pro or Co-Angler divisions will not be guaranteed a spot until a matching number for the other category is received. If there is an imbalance in entries in either category, individuals will be entered on a wait list. Any entries above the 100 limit will be entered on a wait list.
Your entry can be made via Credit Card by calling the main American Bass office (310) 376-1026 or by mailing a check to: American Bass, 402 N. Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Full payment for both the Pro and Co-Angler entries must be made on or before June 15th, 2012.

This event will be held on Lake Mead on Monday-Wednesday, June 25th-27th, 2012. The registration day will be held on Sunday June 24th, 2012. Sunday June 24th will be the only “off-limits” day. Prior to June 24th there are no off-limits. The official pre-fish days will be Friday June 22nd and Saturday June 23rd. The only restriction is that no use of fishing guides may be used during the Official Pre-Fish days.
We hope that you will take advantage of this great opportunity of early registration. We look forward to seeing you at Lake Mead in June!

This is probably the biggest news to hit west coast bass fishing in the last 5 years. The sad thing is nobody even realizes what it means. The only way to get the payouts up with the low boat count we have out west is to televise the events. Im glad ABA brought this to the table. Ill defenitely be in next year! i wish we didnt have a conflict for this year but it what it is and ill be all over trying to get in next year. If they do a west coast series your gonna see flw walk the other way. Which might be the best thing that ever happened to us. Flw tries to tell us there doing us a favor by coming out west. As far as i know without us the fisherman, they dont have a tournament, then they dont get sponsor dollars, then they dont have a business to pay there employees. Looks like they need us moire than they wnat to say. Great job ABA!

Is ABA creating a daily web blog and on-the-spot video reporting with pre-fishing reports, and daily updates/photos like WON Bass did for their Pro/Ams and Opens? That would certainly help generate some real excitement.
