So, I know this sounds funny, but is there any major difference in fishing bibs and snowboarding pants. I've used my snowboarding pants in the past but i have never used bibs. Are bibs really warm ?
Thanks fellas, I can hear the laughter now.
Nothing to laugh about. If they're waterproof then the purpose is served. I'd like to start skiing again this winter and I'll just use my raingear I fish in.
I don’t snowboard but I do ski and have both types of gear (fishing and Skiing) – to tell you the truth when I first started fishing in bad weather I used my ski gear. Both of my pants are bibs type and both are made of Gortex (sp). Both work fine in cold weather but the fishing gear works better in the rain (heavy down pours). My ski gear would leak at the seams – they do good to keep the snow out but water was different.
In skiing as in fishing once your cold and wet it any fun no more. JMO
great topic. I'm a seasoned snowboarder, and last year I snowboarded in my bps pro qualifier jacket. It is light, warm, and flexible, plus it is gore-tex which is friggin awesome. Grew out my snowboard pants this year so picked up the matching pro qualifier pants, and can't wait for the snow to come (yeah right haha). So I guess the answer to your question is yes, if it works use it, why not!?!?
I'll probably be one of the only guys on the slopes with matching fishing gear! Just don't get the stealth color!!!! jkjk
Your not the only one I have used my Guidewear for years on the slopes, I just make sure not to set my snowboard anywhere near them so they won't tear them while traveling...
The only sport besides golf that you can only blame yourself !!!
