ELECTRA FIRE UPDATE 7:20 p.m.: CAL FIRE has upgraded the evacuation warnings in the Lake Tabeau area to mandatory evacuation orders. The area to be evacuated remains a two mile radius from Lake Tabeau.

All or portions of the following roads falling within the two mile radius are included in these updated evacuation orders: Amador Lane, Fig Tree Lane, Ponderosa Way, Clinton Road, and Tabeau Road at Clinton Bar Road.

The Laughton Ranch is also available to help shelter and care for displaced animals. The Laughton Ranch is located at 90 Clinton Road in Jackson adjacent to Raley's.

ELECTRA FIRE UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: Amador County Sheriff’s Office reports the Italian Picnic Grounds, located at 581 Highway 49 in Sutter Creek, will be the location for human sheltering. Red Cross has been notified and will be responding to assist. An exact estimated time of arrival for Red Cross is unknown at this time.

ELECTRA FIRE UPDATE 6:05 p.m.:
A fire started this afternoon, Monday July 4th at around 4 p.m. and is burning in the Electra Road area along the Amador and Calaveras county lines, south of Jackson at Electra Road and Hwy 49. Multiple fire resources including Jackson Fire Department, along with the Amador and Calaveras County Sheriff's Offices are responding. We are receiving information from various local agencies & authorities and will be adding all updates here.
Cal-Fire has issued a mandatory evacuation order for all residents in the Butte Mountain Road area. Butte Mountain Road will be closed except for egress purposes.

CAL FIRE has issued an evacuation warning for all residents in a two mile radius centered around Lake Tabeau.
CAL FIRE AEU reported at around 5:10 p.m. that full ground and air resource response has been issued and that the fire was approximately 75 acres at that time and burning at a dangerous rate of spread in dry grass in North Fork of the Mokelumne River drainage. Evacuations are in progress.
Amador Fire reports the Amador County Animal Response Team (ACART) has been activated. Residents may bring large and small animals to the Amador County Fairgrounds.
This fire remains a rapidly changing incident with dynamic fire behavior. It is imperative for those within areas under an evacuation order or warning to follow the direction immediately. Amador & Calaveras County residents if you have not already done so, please register for your county’s emergency alert system (register through your Sheriff’s Office website — see links below). If you are unsure of whether your contact information is in the database or if you have recently moved or changed your telephone number, it is important to add or update your information.
