And she's not blonde.

Post by Greg_Cornish »

I have a brother, who while very ambitious, really doesn't care about what he drives or how it looks. His vehicles can go years without a wash. His daughter on the other hand was always embarrassed by this. She was given the task once of driving his S10 pickup full of trash to the dump one day when she was about 17 or 18 years old.

On the way there she thought, "I'm going to wash this truck". So she fills up at a gas station that offers free drive through car washing with a fill.

She must have had a memory lapse as she pulled in the long line and waited. When it was her turn she pulled in. As the beater roller rolled over the top of the small economy size pickup truck she heard and unusual noise. The beater bar hit the trash bags and cans ripping them apart.

Then she went through the wind dryer. She said she couldn't even see. There were papers, banana peels and everything you can think of flying around her. When the machine released her front wheels she drove out and surveyed the damage.

The station was a disaster area and she had nothing left to put the trash in.

The people behind her - while they had to wait - weren't even mad. The ones who weren't rolling around laughing were helping her pick up. The convenience store had garbage bags and after 45 minutes everything looked pretty normal except her face was still red from embarrassment.

Things that happen when you don't have a video camera.
