B.A.S.S. and Western Kentucky University spoke out about the death of tournament angler

DREHER ISLAND, S.C. (WIS) - B.A.S.S. and Western Kentucky University (WKU) spoke out about the death of a student angler during a boat crash at the Bassmaster College Series fishing tournament at Lake Murray Thursday.

Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece announced the death of Johnathan Brian, 21, from Shelbyville, Kentucky, at Prisma Health Richland on Tuesday morning.

Brian was a member of WKU’s Bass Fishing Team.
