Yep, just like in the movie "The Birds"...We had bait up the Calaveras River one year and the other shadders couldn't find us...We'd drive back down I-5 to deliver bait to Sally at "The Trap" in Rio Vista and when I went by the Calaveras River on I-5, all you could see was seagulls and cormorants!!!...Them other "Rats" never could figure it out...If your around the Sugar plant over by Tracy and I think it's Macarthur Rd, you look just right and you can see a little ditch that dumps into Sugar...If I could see white, I knew the bait was there...

Been awhile since I've been down that way, don't think things have changed...My buddy says it's hard to get back there anymore...Depth keeps getting shallower with all the silt build-up...Scary place for sure at night...Looking back, we were nuts going in back there at midnight or so in December, had to go where the bait was though...

And, that mansion in Rio Vista on the river just sold for $2 million, Cooch...Dang, down from $3 million last year...What a small mouth resort that would have been...I just wonder if that other big fish Andy I know bought it?...How about it Andy Giannini, was it you?...All you guys with the name Andy catch big fish, why is that?...Har!...
