Aqueduct Stripers?

Post by dockboy »

Hey, what's up guys. I have a few questions. I usually go after largemouth year round, and I really haven't got into stripers yet. Right now, it looks like I'll be stuck near home till I can get out to Castaic in a few weeks. I was thinking about the aqueduct. What do you guys throw out there. I have swimbaits and lots of rattletraps, but what else? Are the Big Hammer style swimbaits of any use in the aqueduct?I'm pretty sure I don't want to go out and soak 'chovies in a chair for a few hours. I've heard bucktails can be good too.
But my biggest question is where? Most people fish out near Quartz Hill or Palmdale in my region, but I'm a lot closer to the access point in and around Pearblossom. Littlerock is close too. I figure that closer to Silverwood, the more bait and better fishing. So, what do you guys think?
