Hi Everyone,
I am a new resident in the seattle area by way of SF.
Used to do bass fishing in the CA Delta system, but now
am up here and need some help about good spots.
I mainly shore fish and have done some fishing at local lakes,
and the UW Arboretum off the docks. I've only caught a bunch
of baby bass there, and was wondering if there are good ones
to be caught, both largemouth/small. Any ideas? or suggestions?
or techniques for WA bass fishing. Thanks for all the help
and tight lines.

Re: Bass Fishing in King county, WA
Been there done that! I moved up to Kirkland 5 years ago from the bay area and returnd back to CA last year. Bank fishing is very limited. Get a float tube or pontune boat. Lake Sammamish in the north end by Marymoor Park is a good place or even in the south end at the State Park is good. Lake Washington is a big lake and is best from my experiences when fished from a boat. You can also try south lake union near the boat docks off of Westlake. You may have better luck then me.
For the 5 years I was up there I only caught small mouth bass. They have some nice ones up there.
Hope you like rain and cloudy weather.

Suggestions:
1. Join a bass club and fish out of the back of other's boats, and soak everything in (treat them right and you will be invited back).
2. Subscribe to Fishing & Hunting News (bi-weekly newspaper magazine) to get information on what is biting, and where. The next issue will feature stories about recently caught state record class largemouth (11 pounds 8 oz) and smallmouth bass (over 9 pounds). (www.fishingandhuntingnews.com)
3. Check out your local bass tackle shop (Outdoor Emporium in your area is the best bet) and talk with some of the employees there, and learn when they are having bass seminars.
4. Attend the upcoming Sportsman Shows in Seattle, Everett, and Puyallup in January and February.
5. Read some of the Univ. of Washington fisheries studies at their library.
6. Search on the internet for bass and Lake Washington, Sammamish, Sawyer, King County Lakes.
7. and did I mention join a bass club? I would highly recommend the oldest bass club in the country, Western Bass Club, in Renton.
