The Parasite clips are the bomb... found that out first-hand when Brian was up last time and we went out to do some punching - I wasn't using them, but he was... my Beavers kept getting torn up quickly, so he turned me on to the clips and I didn't tear another bait the rest of the day.

They work GREAT and are a very inexpensive little bait saver! I'll be using them on my punching rigs from here on out for sure.

Thanks for the great "how to" series of photos.
Since there's not strain on the clip, I imagine you could use small paper clips, too, in a pinch.

But I wouldn't touch that weighted clip if my life depended upon it. It pulls on the hook the wrong way....

pulls straight inline with the hookset. Marty's pics show the weight/hook loosely assembled for demo purposes.
