I will never forget the day George left the Bass-A-Thon on break down Sunday with his family and forgot his son.... I kept assuring the kid that his dad would come back for him while trying to count out other vendors....

I must be a good salesman or bass fishermen are just plain impulsive. I sold 300 parmu's at one of the Bass A Thons. That had to be the biggest rip off of all time. :D

Sorry guys, did'nt mean to step into something I should'nt have.
I was going to share my story about a newly wed couple that had dreams of catching big bass.We descided to purchase our first bassboat from Anglers Marine and were excited about the future. My wife Kim caught a 10.4 at Perris that first day we used the boat.It was in rock climbers cove and everyone around me said that that it was grounds for a divorse. She broke the mark before I did and it lit flame under me.That flame grew to be bigger and bigger.I learned from that moment that I loved chasing big bass. Then I met Bruce Porter and the rest is,just that ,history.Over those years I made lifelong relationships with guys like Mike long and John Kerr,Bill Rice,Byron Velvick and many others. It all started from the purchase of a bass boat from Anglers Marine. You guy's are selling dreams.Remember that the next time you talk to a customer for the first time. You never know who's life you might change next.Don't take it for granted. What Rick has built is something to cherish, not something to take for granted.I now live in Idaho and can't find what I need as far as fishing products go.Take care of your customers and please don't be hateful of others.I'm outa here like I left the 91 fwy traffic.

Big bucks,bulls,and bass to all!

Dear Brian,

Did you ever think that those 300 customers might be reading this post. You should think before you make those customers feel stupid!

Thank you to all you guys who support the little guys and not the knockoffs. Just because a bait might seem expecive doesnt mean the manufacturer is making a killing. Even if they are dont they deserve to. It take soo much time to properly develop a bait and bring it to market that the little guys have to charge a fair amount just to get even. My theory is build the best baits and people will buy them over the copies. Basstrix makes a great little bait. Buy the original, dont suport the theives.

That GS trout now thats a classic.

Dear Kevin,

Kidding aside.A smiley face to a customer who just spent his last few dollars on a bait that was told it was the hottest thing going is not going to care when he reads about sales people mocking him for being an idiot. You guy's are looked up to,trusted.Don't take that for granted. I just got a PM from a guy that was 14 and remembers watching Rich Iaonolo and mysef constantly weighing in big bass at Perris. Now he's older and he'll never forget it. Don't be ignorant.People who read these post don't get your inside jokes. One wrong word or stupid thread and your done. Just watch what you write. It could affect your future.

Dear Kevin,

Do you have an employer in the industry or any sponsors? If so,I hope that they realize what a Jack *** they have representing thier products. You guy's are so lost in your little world that you don't realize what damage your doing to the future of the sport.US Today has reported that people are leaving the industry.Kid's read these post's and look up to us.Be a possitive example. You and your cronies are just hunting for someone to attack.Like myself, who was only trying to bring some good into your ugly world.Sleep well.It will catch up to you.

idahobass,

It would seem to me that there are more important things to talk about than calling each other names. Let me remind you how many kids brouse this web site, foul language posted on a public forum in the attempt to assassinate ones character does not set well with many parents that also visit this site. This "angler image" that you talk about is being damaged by your actions.

I cant tell you how many bad albums I've purchased over the years, and at the time it was a good idea, why? because the band was hot at the time. In retrospect it was a bad purchase. So why is buying a lure and later learning it was junk any different.

Since I've only been doing this for 2 years and naive to your past, one cant help but wonder why some guy from Idaho is using bad language to attack the character of my friends on a public forum, that is just as bad as your accusations of poor angler representation.

How many times have you walked into your local music store and had your favorite band ask you to buy thier cd.If your buying bad music than you should change the channel.
