Berkley Big Bass....Russ Myers pops a 13+ in first hour!

Post by AnglersPress »

BETHEL ISLAND, Ca. - Russ Myers just cracked a monster bass in the first hour of the Berkley Big Bass Challenge going on right now at Russo's Marina on the California Delta!

That monster bass won him the hourly $500 big fish prize - PLUS one of 12 keys gaurenteed to start a 2010 Toyota Tundra, courtesy of Tracy Toyota.

Russ caught the fish near Mildred Island on a Berkley Hollow Belly swimbait and is happy that he has officially qualified to be one of the event's "Super 12" finalist, all of which who will receive a key to the new Tundra - after they have all been administered the MANDATORY polygraph test.

Don't forget...you can still participate in tomorrow''s round of action with a one-day entry fee of just $100 dollars. Check in begins at 4:00am and after you get your livewells checked, you can start fishing!

Stay tuned for more action!

Not to pick a nit, but this guy's been a top-notch Western tournament angler for many, many years, but STILL, no one can get his name right. The man's name is Russ MEYER, not Meyers or Myers. Not trying to play grammar Nazi, but it is the man's name, after all.
