Berkley Hardbaits

Post by ttb31183 »

At ICAST last year Berkley introduced a whole line of hardbaits just for bass anglers. They have made crankbaits and other baits a few times that I can recall, but these appear to be the best ones yet. All of them look like they would cost much than the $7-$8 range they are retailing for.

They were also put together with the help of some of the best in the business like crankbait guru David Fritts. In total there are 11 different models and limited, but excellent color options. After taking a quick glance at all of them, the Cutter 90+ and Digger 8.5 that are shown below are the ones I am most excited about. All of them look like they will work and the lineup also includes a squarebill, shad shaped crank, multiple jerkbaits and a deeper diving crankbait.

The Cutter series are suspending crankbaits that dive to different depths. This is the 90+

The Digger series are said to have an aggressive wobble and side flash. This is the 8.5 version.

Overall I think this is a good lineup to cover most of the needs of bass anglers. I am excited to try them out on the water and see how they do where it really counts.
