Best gas treatment to preserve gas ?

Post by Rod Martin »

Hurricane season is here and I intend to stock up on Gas for my generator. 5 and 3 gal plastic cans filled to full and kept for 3 months in a humid place (Florida) after that I will rotate out by using in my Van and boat 90HP Mercury Opti.
We have boat gas here (non-ethanol )
What is the best gas treatment to keep the gas fresh and to ensure it goes thru my motors without causing a problem

Thanks in advance

Always, Hurricane season is June to November . Just making sure I am up on power. For Irma we lost power for a week so now I try to plan ahead. Generator big enough to power AC , refrigerator and freezer.
Oh also the coffee maker

After summer and the grand kids go backs to school, I dump Stabil in the ski boat and run on the hose for 20 minutes. Come next summer the boat starts right up. Disclaimer: That engine is a 350 GM. The 2 stroke bass boat gets run most of the year and I use the same Stabil in winter just in case I don't get out for a few weeks. I have never used the marine Stabil and have never had an issue.

I've had good luck with
https://lucasoil.com/products/fuel-trea ... stabilizer

Designed for all fuel types and engine types 2 or 4 stroke. I used it for my fuel that I store for my lawn mower and pressure washer around the house as well.

They support our marine/ fishing industry and me to.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Think I am going to look at Lucas , Stabilities and sentry to see which is best for me.
