I made a strap with a buckle up front to chinch it down with velcro so it'll hold.

You can use a Ram Mount or a Trol Lok. Both will hold the motor absolutely rock solid!
Had the Ram Mount. Now have the Trol Lok. Both have pros & cons. I prefer the Trol Lok as it is easier & faster to engage & disengage.

I use the bass pro rod wraps to hold the motor tight to the mount

Buy a Gambler they come with the best stainless steel anti bounce bracket out there

I use Rod Saver Velco Trolling motor tie down. Seems to work ok for me .
