Boat Registration??

Post by Dan P »

I share a boat with my brother and he handles all the paper work registration, insurance ect. I noticed on today as I was getting it ready to go out tomorrow that the Registration sticker is a 05. Never really pay attention to the stickers as my brothers is usually on top of it. My question is what is the penalty if I get caught on the lake with a 05 sticker?

In a word, Yes. Some lakes won't let you on without current stickers. If you do get out and a Ranger or Sheriff spots you the ticket will cost you alot more than the registration will!

Does the DMV ding you on reg thats past due . On cars and trucks the fees just keep stacking up. I have a 12ft alum thats past from 09, we want to use it, but hate to get stuck for a lot of past fees.
