The Boga grips from Bass Pro shops are pretty good. My buddy bought one and it works pretty well. He pulled up a 17 pound carp just fine so I'm sure it'll be fine for bass.

Berkley has a decent one

But if you're a trophy bass hunter, then go with the Boca because it can be certified by the IGFA.

Boga grips are the kind.........I'd spend some serious cash on them.....Better than trip to the emergency room to rip hooks out.

The original Berkley lip gripper works great, no scale.

Really handy while cranking, vs. tangling up a fish and a whole bunch of trebles in the net. And great for Rattletrapping stripers, squawfish, trout or other trash fish... :D

I don't even know if the plain model is made anymore, you might check FFO or Fisherman's Factory Outlet which handles Berkley closeouts or ABU stuff at great discount.

Boga is the best. Once you compare the real deal to the imitations, you will want a boga. The difference is construction & material quality is obvious.

They ain't cheap though! I rigged a float so that if dropped overboard it would float.

Rich,

Is that for the BOGA brand, of a knockoff brand ?
A close-out, perhaps ?

Seems WAY too cheap.

If they were the real deal (BogaGrip by Eastboga Tackle), I would have bought them up to resell on forums & Ebay :D
