Broken bolt on my slidemaster jackplate
Broken bolt on my slidemaster jackplate
The main bolt that raises and lowers my motor on my slidemaster jackplate just broke about two inches down from the top and now my motor is as low as it can go on the jackplate and I can't raise it. Has anyone ever had this happen? I hope they don't have to replace the whole jackplate and can just replace that big bolt.

Ouch, were you running without the entire plate tighten down with other bolts? That worm screw by itself isn't meant to hold everything, especially while underway. Anyways, I'm sure you can find comparable worm screw if you know the pitch and length. I'd get a stainless steel one if I could. Good luck.

I had everything tightened down properly. I really don't think that bolt should have sheared off like that.
