Bucks Lake, Plumas County... Got bass?

Post by Robchik »

Anyone know if Bucks Lake has bass? If not, are there any lakes close (within 15-20 minutes driving) that do? Oroville, Bullards, and Almanor are all 1 hour or more. Thanks! I'll be camping up there this weekend and would like to do soemthing other than trout fish.

Does anyone have anymore info on this lake? Is the fishing worth towing a boat up from Sacramento, what kind of bass etc.

Heading up there with the wife's family this weekend. Any help is appreciated!

I've never heard of bass in that lake, but if there are its likely smallmouth. That lake gets a lot of snow and some ice in the winter. It is primarily a trout lake.

Just called. No smallmouth bass. Almanor would be your best bet.
