See video on NBC NEWS https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/vi ... 1399237868
As temperatures rise in California, residents are bracing for severe flooding due to the massive Sierra Mountains snowpack melt. It contains twice as much water as the state’s 28 major reservoirs. NBC News’ Steve Patterson has more details on the climate crisis.
…Activists say, disaster is only a matter of time. “If we have a significant flood here, not even if, it’s when, we’re going to have a significant loss of life,” Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla, Restore the Delta.

Sure Mark as long as you promise to put your face mask away for good if it doesn't happen and i'm not talking about some flooded farmland somewhere. I want to see flooded towns, death and destruction.
Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
Global Cooling
The Prediction: Top climate specialists and environmental activists predicted that “global cooling trends” observed between WWII and 1970 would result in a world “eleven degrees colder in the year 2000 ... about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” Bitter winters and floods from “delayed typhoons” would trigger massive drops in food production, followed by widespread famine.
The Prophecies:
Newsweek Magazine’s "The Cooling World" Peter Gwynne April 28, 1975
Time Magazine’s “A New Ice Age?” April 28, 1974
BBC’s Nigel Calder International Wildlife magazine, 1975
Betty Friedan in Harper’s magazine, 1958
University of California at Davis professor Kenneth Watt, Earth Day 1974
It’s the same game just different players

Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
There is a great amount of snow in the Sierra. I'm a bit if a skeptic, but would absolutely bet it will happen.
Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
It might happen. I am no expert but I think it won’t be a large scale disaster like they want
They will blow it out of proportion to push their climate alarmist agenda
They would like nothing more than to convince us into climate lock downs

Only the dumb or unfortunate will die in a flood these days. I saw where MSNBC and CNN were recommending everybody in the central valley to wear a class 2 PFD at all times just in case, so you better go buy a couple before the shelves are bare. you may have lived a bit longer then me but you haven't learned squat in your lifetime.mark poulson wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 9:49 amI guess you haven't lived long enough to have experienced that kind of loss, or you wouldn't even joke about it.

The entire Delta area could be underwater if the Sacramento River system dikes should fail during flood stage run off. Lots of small communities are built on a flood plain that only dikes keep them dry. Hopefully everything holds up but little warning when it fails.

I can easily toss a neko rigged senko and catch 4X as many fish than if I was throwing your worthless jig.jiggin4bass wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 1:33 pm Whoopbass I was just wondering do you fit in either of the two categories you mention in your post.

If you notice most homes built around the Manteca area are elevated for flood. At least the people who know better
That is the case all around the delta
We are in 100 years of drought and doom only if you are listening to Ca politicians
The rest of know ca is by large a desert with 7 years wet and 7 dry

We're not all in Manteca JV what whoopbass said he want to see some flooded towns death and destruction. Very heartless typing this ****.
By a person.
Go back to 1969 and look at what the rain and runoff did to all of Ca. And go and think it's funny. Like you did on this thread.
What happen in 1969 could very well happen again in some areas of Ca. Nothing you say or that pose can say will make up for what been said on this thread. Bottom line is death and destruction no matter what it is is funny. So you two go ahead and make fun with your buddy. It's still not funny. And I don't give a dam what either one of you think of me
You'll get over it.

Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
Alright, Jiggin......you jigs actually look good...damn good.
Anyway, No, but hell NO there's not going to be any devastating flooding and/or deaths. It's all drummed up by the media. The media has been pushing this crap down our throats forever. When I was very young there were long lines to get gas because there was a shortage. 10+ years later the ozone had a hole in it. A few years later we were going to run out of oil by the year 2000. Remember shortly after there was Y2K. Not much later the earth was going to cease to exist by 2020.
Here we are today with plenty of oil and the earth keeps turning. The same crap that was being sold to us 40 years ago is the same crap being sold to us today just in a shinier package. When are the moron's going to get it? If you forget your history then well...........
Go check out the rainfall history and totals for the last 100+ years. They're there and for some reason with all the population, polluting, destruction, and what not they are perfectly allignied. Nothing has changed.
The earth has been spinning for billions of years and the morons of the world have been told and actually believe that its going to end in their lifetime.

Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
One more thing Jigs, what I said about death and destruction was for what Mark was saying. Like i'm going to come back and eat my words when it happens? It's not going to happen period. It's not the 60's anymore. If someone does happen to die in this day and age from flooding with all the technology, warning's and sheet then they're just so be it. People die everyday and some die from being and no I won't lose a bit of sleep over it.

Whoopbass I know my jigs look dam good and so do my spinnerbaits Blade baits & Buzzbaits that's not bragging it a fact. And every thing I build catches bass.
But you and DanC will be real hard pressed to get a chance to ever fish any of my baits or lures. That just the type of person I am. So just go keep fishing your neko rigged senko.
I'm sure you and DanC will get over it.
P.S. never walk back your comment it make you look small.

I'm already over not being able to use your jigs and blades.
You need to learn how to comprehend what you're reading. Never did I say I want to see death and destruction. I'm not going to bother and explain what I said just go back and read it if you're interested.

Re: California bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt
News: Ca bracing for severe flooding from snowpack melt. Also that dingbat from save the delta claims of significant loss of life.
Me: ain't gonna happen.
Mark: Will you repost this if it does?
Me: Sure Mark as long as you promise to put your face mask away for good if it doesn't happen and i'm not talking about some flooded farmland somewhere. I want to see flooded towns, death and destruction.
I didn't write it exactly right but it was obvious to what I was saying. Mark would have claimed victory if his local news reported that some farmland had flooded. I was saying I want to see some death and destruction like they are now reporting if I was going to admit I was wrong.
Got it? If not you will get over it.
