“More than two months after the Constitutional deadline California legislature finally approved a budget for our state. Consistent with the general contempt many lawmakers show for the very laws they pass, legislators flouted the Constitutional requirements by leaving for vacation in August. Reconvening after their summer recess, the budget bill squeaked out of the state senate with only two Republican votes. This massive spending measure will now go before the governor. Despite reducing the budget by $700 million in spending California still faces a $5.5 billion budget deficit.
A $5.5 Billion budget deficit and California legislature is still going forward with State Health Care. The next item on the Left’s agenda?
Government health care, of course, modeled on Canada’s socialist system. Soon every Californian can expect their local hospital to operate with the same courteous, competent, efficient service for which our government is renowned. Think Postal Severs!
A side-note on the first day of the great California health care debate: This week a Calgary woman gave birth to identical quadruplets -- in Great Falls, Montana. The expectant Canadian had to be rushed 325 miles south into the United States to give birth to the babies, because the waiting list for Canada’s bureaucratized and socialized system was too long. It turns out that Great Falls is a popular destination for Calgary’s pregnant moms whose babies just aren’t willing to wait in line. No doubt it will be all the more popular when Californians find themselves in the same fix. You can take you wife to Nevadaâ€

Re: California
To me a state health system makes perfect sense. with such large numbers utilizing emergency services to access health care that could be gotten from a clinic at much less cost, you and I are paying for it in health care premiums and hospital charges anyhow.
fewer and fewer employers are providing health care, larger numbers of non-working people needing service, this includes young children, and the older folk. if you got a better suggestion throw it out there.

Re: California
Yes I do have a better suggestion and it is called working to take care of your own family. Once again the Democratic “New System of Government – Socialisms is at it againâ€

Ahhh the dreaded Employer health care issue ..Actually ,,since an employer cant tell you how to live ,what to eat, when to exercise ,isnt allowed to make an employee stop smoking and can only give random drug testing on certain basis...why in the heck should he be told to pay for any health care? Just curious...as I have been both an employee ,and employer . Charlie

To start with I will not change your mine on this subject, so I will not try! But I will do my best to lay out the facts where everyone else reading will understand the grave outcome if there is Government health care program.
My first post was about California health care plan and California facing more taxes. But you seem to want to talk about a Federal health care since you stated “7 years of Republican administrationâ€
