Castaic Stripers

Could someone please volunteer some info. on how to fish for stripers at Castaic lake? Last day of vacation and am going to attempt to catch at least one. I will use live (dead) bait if I have to. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We have had luck by the buoy line on the skiing arm. We were using 6 lb. test, EWG bass hooks, and sliced up mackeral. So if you are in a boat (Which you pretty much have to be) tie it to the buoy line and throw the mackeral on the hook out there weightless and just wait. Don't do anything, and wait for a strike.
