castro valley bass classics

Post by fishin45 »

Castro valley bass classics is currently accepting new members, boaters/non-boaters.

are you currently looking for something different with fishing in a club, are you new to bass fishing, ever wanted to fish the tourny format and not have to decide do i pay my mortgage or fish this tournament (maybe that's just me) that's where we come in.

Castro valley bass classics is a little different from most clubs, we focus mostly on fun there is no high dollar entry fee, we share all our info with one another and we flat out have fun.. now here comes the biggest difference than the rest. we do what is called paper weights, whats that you say? well its simple we pair each boater with a non boater and issue each boat a scale(scales checked before each tourny to make sure they are all on the same page and in good working order)every time you catch a fish your partner seconds the weight and you write down your weight on the supplied weigh in slips. what does that mean to us as fisherman? no longer do you need a live well or a fancy bass boat. we currently have members with fish and ski's, aluminum boats, and every other make and model. nor do we have to lug around huge bulky scales and we dont need permits to weigh in the fish saving the club as a whole.

we fish a variety of bodies of water thru the year as well as team events, 2 day events and my favorite night tournaments. the schedule runs from feb-nov. we meet at dicks restraunt in san leandro the 2nd wed of each month at 7pm and usually fish the second saturday of the month. entry fee per tournament is 5 bucks big fish and 1 dollar for the yearly progressive pot which goes to the biggest catch of the year. non boaters are required to pay 35 dollars per event to their boater to cover the cost of gas, oil, etc for the day.

so come on out and see us we would be glad to have ya. must be tough skinned because we like to give each other a hard time just like any family.
