If you're talking about the one near the boundary of Yosemite NP it's a trout lake and one that I used to flyfish with alot of success both from a float tube and from the shore. This time of year there will be fish stacked up where snow melt is running in and there are two feeder creeks on the access side of the lake that always had fish around them this time of year. The other place that always fished well was along the dam wall. I would not be suprised if you found rising fish all over the place right now which would make it easier to decide where to fish at least in the water column. As far as what to use I can only suggest flies such as the wooly bugger or a midge emerger fished in the film for rising fish. If you don't flyfish, dragging a wooly bugger behind a clear plastic bubble works great. That all said, this is a bass board and you'll probably have some smart mouth post something stupid but I hope you do well as I used to really enjoy this lake in the spring. Good Luck, Mike

An excellent fishing lake for trout, but if you venture downstream the class V river has tributaries that are either restricted or at least under special rules....the DFG freshwater 2009 booklet will list or the website from N.fork toulumne or cherry lake.
