Chronarch anti-backlash problem

Hi there,
My white pearl Chronarch is not holding on hooksets, and giving me gnarly backlashing. My friend just told me that Shimano no longer fixes these reels, Is this true?? And if so, am I out of luck with this wonderful reel? HELP!!

It sounds like you need a new anti reverse bearing. We no longer service the older CH100A model. However, our service centers can still take care of this for you.
