Even before the first boat leaves Tower Park Marina at this weekend's 17th annual Future Pro Tour Classic championship, it is without a doubt that competitive nerves will be at their peak for every one of the only 100 qualifying teams vying for the coveted FPT Classic crown and the keys to a fully-rigged Nitro Z18/Mercury 150hp boat package, expertly rigged by
Gone Fishin' Marine of Dixon.
The FPT Classic's GUARANTEED 1st place prize is a full-rigged NITRO Z18 powered by a MERCURY 150HP, and valued at over $30,000.
But there is always a story within a story, as this year’s venue for the last day has dramatically changed, and the final day for the top 15 finalists will not be held at San Pablo Dam, as planned, but will remain on the California delta - at Tower Park Marina, so finalists will be able to keep their delta gear tied on, and stay with the fish they may have been tracking all week long!
