I'm heading out to fish clear lake next month for my b-day for a week of fishing.
I have never been there before and I have an idea of what baits to throw and were to fish them. The only thing I'm clueless about is what color plastics? any help would be appreciated.
you can pm me or email zachmeredith26@yahoo.com
thanks

Re: Clear Lake colors
Well next month we should have a few different bites going. LV500's in Ghost Minnow, Chartreuse Shad or any of the clear ones. Deep Cranking DD22 in Red Black, Lavendar Shad, Chartreuse Blue, South on Rock Piles. Another bite would be a flutter spoon in shad patterns 4 to 5 inch in size deep water like Henderson and Wheeler. Speed Traps and Chatter baits up North in and around the dying weeds and docks. As for colors in soft plastics your purples and reds Maverick Worms in June's Choice, Ed's Candy Craw and Ross Receipe would be my choice either a dart head or shaky head presentation.

Ed;
Those are some good choices.
i know you did not want to sound your own horn, but your custom "Clown" colored baits are really outstanding in north.

Re: Clear Lake colors
Z, You cant go wrong with a Purple Robo Worm, Margarita Mutilator and Arron's Magic are both great colors for Clear Lake any time of the year. Or a Zoom Trick Worm in Watermelon Candy.
And Watermelon Candy for your Brush Hogs.
For Jig colors try Brown/Purple and Brown/Orange.
Have Fun !
