Clear Lake SP

Anyone stay at the State Park are the camp sites big enough for a boat and trailer. Is there a place to charge batteries. Any info would be appreciated thanks

Some of the spots are big enough to stay connected and some you will have to disconnect your trailer to fit. They do have outlets in the parking lot near the ramp they charge five or $10 a night and the idea is that you leave your boat there (I don’t like that ). Some guys also stay near the restrooms and run power cords from their campsite to the restroom, but the Ranger will disconnect you if he sees it. Another option is to bring a small portable generator, which is usually what I do. Also, lots of raccoons there so don’t leave anything smelly or tasty in your boat or they’ll shred it

This pretty much covers it - always park with the crowd in the parking lot

State park rangers can be nice but some are strict. No power in campgrounds. There is sites big enough for boat. I use the ramp there once in awhile as it’s only 3-4 miles away. Senior discount. 12 bucks to launch. Safest place to leave the truck.
